Sept. 4th (Tuesday): LESSONS BEGIN (Monday students will have a lesson on October 29th)

 

Sept. 28 - Oct. 1 (Friday - Monday): Master Lessons with Sean Chen (UMKC and Schmitt Music). Contact Dr. Fetterman if you are interested. The fee for the event is $60 for 45 minutes or $75 for 60 minutes.

 

Sept. 30th (Sunday): Master Lesson Concert at 5:00 pm at UMKC White Recital Hall (Rockhill Rd. @ UMKC Campus). This is an OPTIONAL and FREE concert being held in conjunction with the Master Lessons occurring from September 28 through October 1.

 

Oct. 7th (Sunday): PERFORMANCE CLASS: 5:30 - 6:30 pm or 6:45-7:45 pm whichever fits better into your schedule. This is in ADDITION to regular lessons. All students are encouraged to attend.

 

Oct. 13–14 (Saturday – Sunday): FALL FESTIVAL: There is an entrance fee ($25), and the student will perform one piece by memory from the Classical era in a recital format with other students from around the Kansas City area in front of an adjudicator while earning points towards a plaque. Entries are due by September 10. This is located at the Bell Cultural Events Center on the campus of the Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe.

 

Oct. 27th (Saturday): HALLOWEEN RECITAL: 1:00 pm Kingswood Senior Living Community (10000 Wornall Rd.) Dress in Halloween costumes if you would like and trick or treat with the residents!

 

Oct. 29th (Monday): Monday’s student lessons (Make-up from Labor Day)

 

Oct. 30st – Nov. 2nd: NO LESSONS (working hard on assignments and Holiday pieces)

 

Nov. 3rd (Saturday): Meet the Composer event. A day of recitals featuring Wynn-Anne Rossi’s compositions ($15 fee). Also, for young composers out there, she will work with you on your compositions in a master class format ($25 fee).

 

Nov. 5th: LESSONS RESUME

 

Nov. 11th (Sunday): GROUP LESSONS: I will send out an email with a list of which students should attend which class. Below is a GUIDELINE for the classes. This is in ADDITION to regular lessons. The times below may change!

3:30-4:30 pm  –  Younger students and beginners

4:45-5:45 pm  –  Students with 2-4 years of study

6:00-7:00 pm  –  Students with 4-6 years of study

7:15-8:15 pm  –  Teens

 

Nov. 19 – 23: NO LESSONS (Thanksgiving Week)

 

Nov. 26th: LESSONS RESUME

 

Dec. 2nd (Sunday): PERFORMANCE CLASS: 12:00-1:00 pm or 1:15-2:15 pm (you pick whichever class works the best in your schedule). This is in ADDITION to regular lessons. Adult performance class: 2:30 pm

 

Dec. 9th (Sunday): HOLIDAY RECITAL: 2:00 pm Country Club Congregational United Church of Christ (65th and Brookside)

 

Dec. 9th (Saturday): ADULT SOIREE: 6:00 pm (This is for adult students only.)

 

Dec. 10th: WINTER BREAK – NO LESSONS: (Extra lessons can be given during the break and are scheduled individually by contacting Dr. Fetterman)

 

Jan. 7th:  LESSONS RESUME

 

Feb. 15 - 18: Master Lessons. This is an OPTIONAL event that has an additional charge and is the opportunity to have an additional lesson with another professional piano teacher. This will be held at Schmitt Music and is geared towards the older, more advanced students. The fee for this event is $60 for 45 minutes and $75 for 60 minutes.

 

Mar. 3rd (Sunday): GROUP LESSONS: I will send out an email with a list of which students should attend which class. Below is a GUIDELINE for the classes. This is in ADDITION to regular lessons.

March 11 – 24: NO LESSONS (Spring Break and National Music Teachers Convention)

 

March 25th: LESSONS RESUME

 

April 7th (Sunday): PERFORMANCE CLASS: 5:00-6:00 pm or 6:15-7:15 pm. This class is open to anyone who wishes to attend and is in ADDITION to regular lessons. Adult performance class: 7:30 pm.

 

April 13 - 14 (Saturday – Sunday): JUNIOR FESTIVAL: There is an entrance fee ($25) and entrants will perform two pieces by memory in front of an adjudicator earning points towards gold cups. The Festival will be held at Bell Cultural Events Center on the campus of the Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe.

 

May 4th (Saturday): KEYBOARD MERIT DAY: 15-30 minutes by appointment throughout the day at the piano studio. This is not set in stone, but is the probable day for this activity. 15 minute time slot is $22; 30 minute time slot is $44.

 

May 6 – 10: BONUS/MAKE-UP WEEK: (regular lesson times) Let Dr. Fetterman know if you will NOT be attending, otherwise I will plan on seeing you at your regular lesson time

 

May 11th (Saturday): SPRING RECITAL: 2:00 pm Garden Villas of Lenexa (9705 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS  66215)

 

May 11th (Saturday): ADULT SOIREE: 6:00 pm. Adult Students Only.

 

May 12th: END OF THE SEMESTER: Extra lessons are available by contacting Dr. Fetterman during the year at anytime

 

June 3rd: Summer Lessons Begin
